To
help you get the most out of your holiday, we have put together
some information which you may find helpful.

shopping
Almerimar has a number of supermarkets stocked with a wide range of products as well as fresh meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables. There are also any
number of smaller shops selling everything from bread to souvenirs. El Ejido has a daily indoor market as well as a weekly open-air market for everything from fruit and vegetables to pots and pans. There is also an English Shop in Almerimar that stocks many of the items that you are used to from home.
Swimming Pools
Private communal swimming pools are usually open from the 15th of June to the 15th of September and Spain has enacted strict safety laws governing the
use of swimming pools that require that a lifeguard be on duty whenever a pool is open. Lifeguards at private communal pools are usually on duty from about 10:00 hrs until about 14:00 hrs and from about 16:00 hrs
until about 21:00 hrs and swimming outside of these hours is not possible. Most pools will also close for one day each week when the lifeguard has a day off.

Rental properties are available after 14:00 hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 hrs on the day of departure. However, exceptions are
often possible depending on circumstances so if your flight times make this inconvenient, let us know.

Having a car will greatly facilitate sightseeing and getting around and will add immensely to the enjoyment of your holiday. You will find that you
will be much more comfortable, particularly in the summer months, if you make sure that you get one with air conditioning. Lady drivers should also ensure that their car has power steering.
If you want a car at the airport on arrival it is usually better to organise it before you leave and not wait until you arrive. Most companies allow
on-line reservation over the internet. If you decide you would like a car for a few days during your stay there are car hire agents in all resorts. Here are a few car hire companies you could try:
